Camp Manitou

Welcome to Camp Manitou! Tucked in a cozy bend on the Assiniboine River, Camp Manitou is conveniently located off #1 Highway less than half a kilometer west of the Perimeter on 28 beautiful acres . Since it’s inception in 1930, Camp Manitou has specifically focused on providing the "camp experience" for children and groups who, due to the lack of resources, might  otherwise not be able to enjoy a camping experience. Owned and operated by the Service Clubs of Winnipeg, Camp Manitou offers a full summer camping program as well as some fall, spring and winter programs. It’s facilities are also available for rental when regularly scheduled camp programs permit.

To develop Camp Manitou into a year round operation with educational winter workshops/ retreats and meaningful summer camps for children and youth that focus on changing lives and making a positive impact on the community.

Camp Manitou's mission is to provide children and youth with educational, recreational, social and cultural learning experiences that will promote the development of self confidence,a sense of belonging and a sense of personal identity.
